Course details

Build the confidence to facilitate and lead in a collaborative way.

Gain skills to navigate difference, challenging dynamics and enhance your self-awareness and emotional resilience.

  • Do you get frustrated or overwhelmed in meetings? Do the teams or organisations you’re part of get caught in conflict? Or do you simply wish to make space for more creativity and collaboration in your workplace?

This two day training will elevate your ability to draw out the wisdom and potential of groups and teams.

Facilitation of meetings is a craft. Using good quality processes with self-awareness and emotional resilience makes a powerful difference when you facilitate any group.

  • A hands-on and practical two day training to boost your skills as a facilitator and leader.

Our training is orientated towards your learning needs. We welcome your challenges and aspirations into the training. This provides opportunity to practice in situations most meaningful to you. During our two day course, you can:

    • Develop practical facilitation skills and an understanding of group processes.

    • Learn the essential principles of facilitation.

    • Develop self-awareness and emotional resilience when working with groups.

    • Create a feeling of safety and welcome difference.

    • Tap into the wisdom of the group and maximise participation.

    • Curiously facilitate challenging group dynamics.

    • Deal with conflict and other ‘hot spots’ that arise in group processes.

    • Build the confidence and compassion to work well with groups

    • Acquire skills to make meetings work well.

  • Our training is versatile and can be applied to facilitation in all areas; organisational, community engagement and therapeutic.

Course participants come from diverse backgrounds and fields including government, private business, community organisations, therapeutic settings and the arts.

All you need is a desire to work well with others and to harness the power of groups.

The training is oriented towards your learning needs. We welcome your challenges and aspirations into the course. This provides opportunity to practice your learning in situations most meaningful to you.

  • Hands on, experiential training

We create an environment where you can look at your work practices with safety and lightness. Our work is lively, experiential and practical – and fosters your emotional resilience, which we see a key point of difference in our program to many other training providers.

A large part of the program is devoted to practicing your skills using situations you want to work on. We encourage you to bring real-life examples, and allow time to address individual needs and issues you face in the workplace. And we have a bit of fun along the way!

Facilitating is like swimming: you can’t learn without getting in the water – so our training is highly hands-on and experiential.

  • Our training is unique practical and hands-on. We encourage people to embody the learning by practicing using real life examples.

We are leaders in the field of facilitation training and education. Since the early 1990s we have worked with hundreds of organisations from the corporate sector, government, not-for-profit organisations and community groups.

We give you a practical, well-framed approach to build skills, self-awareness and confidence.

We differ from most communications skills courses in our approach to emotional intelligence – what we prefer to call emotional resilience. Challenges can be handled much more effectively when you understand what holds you back as a facilitator.
