Jim has a background in mainstream media and works as a facilitator, mediator and writer. He was trained as a journalist at the Sydney Morning Herald and has worked at news outlets across
Australia.

Jim’s interest in facilitation was sparked by his involvement in groups where decisions are made collaboratively. This requires high-quality facilitation and as a result he sought training at Groupwork Centre. 

Now, as an Groupwork facilitator he specialises in strategic planning, conflict resolution, effective meetings, big and tricky decisions, and collaborative practice. Jim has also had a long involvement in the LGBTIQ community.
